Overview before treatment
The first minutes make a difference
An accident scene may involve noise, several people and continuing danger. Participants learn a simple sequence that protects the first aider, prevents further harm and prioritises the casualties.
Stop the accident
Turn off machinery, stop traffic or remove the continuing danger without exposing yourself.
Gain an overview
How many people are injured, what happened and who needs help most urgently?
Provide life-saving first aid
Check responsiveness and breathing, and respond to the most serious findings first.
Call and cooperate
Call 1-1-2, send someone to meet the ambulance and allocate tasks clearly.
Workplace scenarios
Exercises may involve a fall from a ladder, an unconscious person, a tool or machinery incident, or several colleagues distributing roles. The focus is a safe, simple plan of action.
How the module is combined
The 120-minute course is completed together with First Aid for Cardiac Arrest or one or more relevant add-on modules. For businesses, the natural combination is a six-hour course with four hours of cardiac arrest training.
